My name is Veronica Nilsson, a Swedish illustrator currently living and creating in England. My artistic practice thrives on a dynamic blend of digital and traditional mediums, with a current passion for collaging. Over the past year, I’ve embraced a newfound freedom in my work, focusing on the Invisibility of individuals in society.
Drawing inspiration from personal experiences and the people in my life, my art is deeply rooted in my mission as a creative activist. I delve into my own narratives and Nordic heritage, creating relatable and impactful pieces. My work passionately explores themes of environmentalism, ageing, feminism, fashion, and women’s stories.
Recent projects have brought me back to my hometown, capturing the essence of the community and examining how our views on ageing shape our understanding of mortality. Additionally, I’ve embarked on a deeply personal project, reflecting on the experiences of living with a chronic illness. Through my art, I aim to provoke thought, evoke emotion, and foster a deeper understanding of the human experience.
